2Privacy at a glance

Your mileage records are stored on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud database. We cannot browse that database. There is no developer-operated server receiving your trips automatically.

Information you choose to send to support is different: we receive your message and any attachments you include. Do not send trip records or logs unless they are relevant to your request.

3Information the app processes

• Trips: GPS coordinates, routes, start and end times, addresses, distance, business or private purpose and notes.
• Vehicles: vehicle name, registration plate, odometer readings and paired CarPlay or Bluetooth audio-unit identifiers.
• Fuel entries: date, location, volume, cost, currency and odometer reading.
• Jobs: names, locations and links to trips.
• Settings: units, currency, detection preferences and information you enter in the PDF header.
• Diagnostics: local technical logs about trip detection and app operation.

The app does not require a separate account, access your contacts or use health records. Any personal information you enter in notes, job names or export headers forms part of your own records.

4Location and motion activity

Kniha jízd is a mileage log app that uses location and motion activity to detect and record vehicle trips. Background location access is required to record trips while the app is not on screen. These permissions are used for trip recording, not for advertising or tracking users across apps or websites.

Notifications alert you to trips awaiting confirmation and vehicle pairing. CarPlay and Bluetooth audio connections help identify the vehicle. You can manage location, motion and notification permissions in iOS Settings. Revoking permissions may limit automatic trip recording.

5On-device storage and private iCloud synchronization

Trip records, GPS routes, vehicle information, fuel entries and job assignments are stored on the user’s device. When iCloud is enabled, app data synchronizes through the user’s private CloudKit database. We do not operate a backend that receives these records and cannot access the user’s private iCloud data.

iCloud makes records available across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Initial synchronization can take time. File backups and exports are separate copies stored wherever you choose to save or share them.

Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control Apple’s processing or storage locations.

6Apple mapping services

The app uses Apple’s mapping and geocoding services to resolve addresses and calculate routes. Relevant coordinates are sent to Apple to fulfill these requests.

7Analytics, accounts and payments

The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not require a separate app account. Subscriptions are handled through Apple’s StoreKit; we do not receive payment card information.

8Diagnostic logs and support

Diagnostic logs remain on the device unless the user explicitly exports and shares them. If a user sends a log to our support team, we receive the information included in that log, which may contain trip locations and timestamps.

If you contact travelsbook@rail-com.eu, we receive your email address, message and any files you provide so that we can respond and investigate the reported issue. Rail-Com Systems s. r. o. is responsible for handling this support correspondence.

9Retention and deletion

You control how long you keep your trip, vehicle, fuel and job records. The end of a subscription does not automatically delete older records; free-version access and export restrictions are separate from retention.

Delete individual records in the app. Removing the app does not necessarily delete its iCloud copy. Manage that copy through your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Separately delete any backups, exported files or copies on other devices that you no longer need.

Diagnostic logs are kept locally until cleared or removed by the app’s log management. Logs and messages sent to support are separate copies. Their retention depends on the time needed to resolve the request and any applicable legal obligations or need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Contact us to request deletion of information you have sent.

Before deleting records, export or back up anything you want to keep. We cannot restore records from your private iCloud database for you.

10Your data protection rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data protection law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and object to processing where that right applies. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You can view, correct and delete your app records on your own device. Export availability depends on the app’s plan. For information you have sent to us, including support messages or logs, exercise your rights by contacting travelsbook@rail-com.eu. We cannot retrieve records from your private iCloud database.

You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) or the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live, work or where an alleged infringement occurred. See the European Commission’s explanation of your rights.

11Children

The app is intended for drivers and is not directed at children. We do not intentionally solicit children’s personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support team, contact us so we can assess the request and take appropriate action.

12This website

The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to fetch them, which exposes your IP address and request information to that provider. This is separate from the mobile app, which does not include Google analytics or advertising SDKs.

Opening external links, such as the App Store or the company contact page, takes you to services with their own privacy practices.

13Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the app’s data handling changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Check this page for the current text and contact us if you have questions.
